We are looking for someone to stay at our sunny, laid-back, plant-filled property in east Los Angeles while we visit my family in North Carolina for Christmas (~December 21st through 25th/26th). If you like animals, this one's for you! We have 4 cats who have *lots* of love to give -- their dream day is to sit in the sun and snuggle with a human. We have a dog as well, but are thinking we’ll board him elsewhere to keep things easy for the housesitter – just take care of the cats and water the plants! The ideal candidate would be a single person or couple looking for a relaxing change of scenery over Christmas. We’re open to letting you use our electric car during your stay for errands etc. In general we’d love it if the house sitter is excited about spending time at the property – the animals love human interaction and we will have so much peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.
A bit more about our property: My partner and I build houses for a living (he's a general contractor) so we've built quite a unique spot here -- there's a large (two-story!) catio attached to the house where the cats spend their days, and a big yard full of hammocks, plants (including an avocado tree, lime tree and lemon trees!) and places to relax. We’ve got a front porch, back deck and back patio — lovely for sunsets. Our house is loft-like with tall ceilings and lots of windows. We made the downstairs into it's own separate unit for when we have guests in town (we live in the “upper unit”). You’ll have both units to yourself while here. The catio connects the two units, and our youngest cat thinks the lower unit is her own personal apartment -ha!. As far as home “amenities” go - we have two washers & dryers, Vitamix, juicer, Berkey water filter, front and back patios, grill, outdoor dining table, hammocks, outdoor couches, big TV, projector, printer, electric vehicle w/ EV charger, etc. If there’s something you’ll need during your stay don’t hesitate to ask! |
