Hello! My wife and I have housesat for various families for years, and we both have grown up around all sorts of animals. We love spending the maximum amount of time with animals that we can. We love any and all critters who want to spend time and snuggle, and even the ones who don’t :-)Between the two of us, we often have pretty open availability. This works quite well with our petsitting friends! Retired from active business-started a renovation on my 1,800 sq.ft. home purchased in 2004 on Swan Lane in Las Vegas NV. Unfortunately, my long time life partner, Phyllis Dooley passed away in January 2023. As a result, I've sold my home and moved back to Calgary, Alberta to rethink my life. After a time, friends in Las Vegas suggested I consider House Sitting during the winter months as I'm still attached to the city. I'm in excellent health and have no bad habits. I had the honor of raising two gorgeous (inside and out) Shiba Inu Dogs. They were my Entire heart & soul. My girl dog's name is Karma Seiu & my boy dog's name is Zen Bennett. My life has forever been altered at their recent transition to the next phase. Karma left on 5-11-22 and Zen on 8-14-24. They were both 17 years old. Many people suggest getting new babies to help in the grieving process. I can not. I remember how difficult it was to go out of town and leave my beloved dog-kids in the hands of another "step-mama". I struggled doing that because of all the special details with food, walks, medicine, brushing, and overall love that Karma & Zen needed while I was out of town.
