Hello! If you need to travel extensively for work or play, I am open for long term house sitting gigs of 1-2 years in the Twin Cities Metro area. I will consider short term offers as well. Generally, I am willing to travel anywhere in the world to care for your home, pets, and/or farm animals. I am retired from my career as a probation officer so any background check performed will come back clear. Since retirement, I enjoy living a minimalist lifestyle. I love the outdoors and am quite active in many pursuits including but not limited to skiing (nordic/alpine), bicycling (year round), kayaking, yoga, and camping/backpacking. I have lived in the Twin Cities area for 40 years, raising my 2 children to become successful adults. I love traveling and pursue that passion whenever my schedule and budget allow. I now work PT as an event security officer to supplement my travel fund. I love animals and would be happy to care for your fur baby(ies)! As a homeowner in the pa... read more

I am a teacher in the Minneapolis schools and my partner is a nurse at Children's Hospital. We are in our early 60’s and nearing retirement. We are also raising a grandchild who is starting High School in Minneapolis. We are intentionally downsizing and are looking to house sit as a means to meet new and interesting people and communities. Since we are still employed, we are planning to initially house sit in the Twin Cities area until our granddaughter’s graduation and our retirement. (4 years) We would welcome the opportunity to care for your home as we build a long term plan for our retirement. read more

Two of my favorite things are traveling, and helping people THRIVE! (www.thriving-life.org)I'm a high-integrity, detail-oriented, very conscientious, mature professional you can count on to attend to every detail of your housesitting needs.I love to bike, hike, kayak, social dance (especially argentine tango and country 2-step). When I'm not being active I enjoy reading, uplifting movies, and warm-hearted potlucks with friends, singing, playing games, and enjoying resonant, connecting conversation. For about 10 years in the early 2000s I had my own vacation rental business (workign with about 53 units and 26 owners, in SW Florida). I've also served as caretaker for residential rental homes (about 35 units, in NW Portland, Oregon). So, I'm an expert at taking care of both properties and people. It's fulfilling and inspiring for me to create vacation and home environments full of warmth, welcome, and nourishment for folks. So, it's right in line with those values, t... read more

Hello! I'm a single, 43 year old professional who works remotely. I love music-playing the piano, listening to all types of music, and catching performances once in awhile. I also love fitness and working out, cycling, swimming, and running as well as long hikes in the wilderness. I grew up in Michigan, went to high school in South Dakota, attended St. Olaf College in Minnesota, then moved to New Orleans for 17 years working in education, fundraising and development. I earned my MBA from Tulane University while living in New Orleans and am a seasoned and successful fundraiser and development executive. I just moved back to Minnesota after three intense years living and working in Washington, D.C helping to run a large nonprofit. I have house sat for several friends and acquaintances over the last 20 years from time to time. I really enjoy the adventure as well as the responsibility of taking care of someone else's sanctuary. I approach house sitting as a privilege and enormous res... read more
